Chapter 25 — Approaching Murderous Intent
Chapter 25 — Approaching Murderous Intent
Riiiip—!
The pitch-black, dead-silent night sky of the astrolabe blind spot was suddenly viciously ripped open by a massively terrifying high-dimensional force, like tearing a piece of rag!
Rows of golden holy runes spread frantically thousands of fathoms high in the sky. The intense energy storm from the jump directly blew away the ionized toxic mist and heavy metal haze that had accumulated over the blind spot for eras! Immediately following, a hundred-meter-long "Golden Saint Heavy Patrol Boat," cast entirely from gold alloy and exuding a blinding, blazing radiance, tore through the clouds like a majestic, freezing golden behemoth, booming out of the high-dimensional jump gate! Its massive high-dimensional gravitational field pressed down, making the lower realm's earth cave in and groan.
The four heavy gravity cannon arrays on both sides of the patrol boat emitted deep blue, dangerous death-light frequencies. The massive high-dimensional hull glided through the void, crushing the Deadzone starship debris floating all around into pulverized dust! The anti-pollution holy runes on the hull's surface flowed with liquid gold radiance, drawing a blinding trajectory through the pitch-black void.
The blinding golden light instantly pierced through the blind spot's thick, pale purple mist, illuminating the entire Embers Camp as bright as a pale, extreme day! The originally dim, pitch-black scrap iron plaza and perimeter outposts were unreservedly exposed to the lofty patrol boat's line of sight under the violent irradiation of the holy golden light.
"Alarm! High-dimensional gravitational wave field descending! Explosion-proof defense line batteries ruptured!"
"Gravitational constant surged three hundred times! Outpost Two defense line armor showing metal fatigue collapse!"
On the perimeter of the camp, the frantically blaring alarms were completely drowned out by waves of heavy, booming gravitational roars. Those corrugated tin sheets and scrap lead armors recently reinforced by the mortals let out teeth-jarring sounds of squeezing and snapping under the pressure of the massive holy gravitational field. Explosion-proof lightbulbs popped and shattered; the entire defense line collapsed and caved in one after another like fragile cardboard boxes!
Dozens of mortal Self-Defense Force warriors patrolling and defending the perimeter didn't even have time to utter a grunt before they were instantly crushed flat into the muddy water by the three-hundred-fold surge in the gravitational field. The fragile bones of the mortals emitted ear-piercing cracking sounds, their eyes instantly becoming severely bloodshot from the high pressure. Every person was like an ant firmly pinned into the dirt by an invisible iron palm! The crude electromagnetic rifles slipped from their trembling hands, flattened directly deep into the mud by the gravity.
Clang!
The heavy explosion-proof hatch of the hovering patrol boat slammed open!
In the patrol boat's front cabin, Advanced Divine Envoy Gar wore his silver holy armor, the four wings of hard light on his back slowly unfurling. Behind him, three junior divine envoys holding holy gravity halberds wiped their battle lances with mocking expressions. The patrol boat's holographic observation disk displayed the physical structure of the Embers Camp. In the high-dimensional eyes of the divine, those low-dimensional corrugated iron covers were as fragile as spiderwebs.
Through the high-energy observation window, Gar looked down condescendingly at the dead, desolate Embers Camp below, filled with scrap iron and garbage. Those eyes, devoid of warmth, flickered with contempt and disgust born from the marrow.
"This is the mortal garbage dump with the anomalous fluctuations?" Divine Envoy Gar's voice sounded hoarse on the communication frequency. "Inferior physical structure, foul-smelling, filthy air... Lord of Aries truly overthinks things. For an anthill like this, we actually need to descend with holy halberds in hand. Look, those mortal ants are crawling in the mud."
"Captain Gar, should we directly use the ground-based annihilation cannons to level the entire camp?" A junior divine envoy beside him asked respectfully, his tone as relaxed as if discussing clearing away a pile of dead branches.
"What's the rush?" Divine Envoy Gar scoffed coldly. He slowly drew the holy halberd flowing with the radiance of gravitational laws from his waist. "Using ground-based cannons gives them too much face. Descend with me. I will step on the spine of their dignity and personally crush this reckless anthill! While we're at it, dig out that deviation crystal core suspected to be the black box."
These high-and-mighty law enforcers of the gods stepped into the air. The high-dimensional gravitational waves beneath their feet compressed the air into solid, transparent, glazed stairs. Every step they took blasted out circles of visible golden holy gravitational ripples in the void, like descending gods of war bringing judgment to the mortal realm.
Divine Envoy Gar lowered his head slightly. Those pale silver eyes, devoid of the slightest human warmth, were filled with a bone-deep disgust and contempt. The murky, pungent wasteland air and highly radioactive dust outside the cabin made him frown in extreme discomfort.
"What a nauseating stench of waste." Divine Envoy Gar slowly drew the gravity halberd flowing with blazing golden light from his waist. His voice, amplified by divine power, boomed hoarsely and loudly between heaven and earth:
"A gang of mortal ants and dead-ash scum crossed off by the Divine Court actually gathered into a garbage dump in this dead corner, and even dared to illicitly use the Sanctum's high-energy heavy hydrogen crystals to resonate... The Lord of Aries has issued a decree of absolute eradication."
In the eyes of the divine envoys, the mortals of the lower realms were absolutely no different from the mud on the ground. Their master, the Lord of Aries, had issued an order of absolute erasure. They couldn't even be bothered to open their mouths to question why these ants had gathered, much less leave the mortals even a shred of room to defend themselves.
"Sweep away the garbage. Leave no one alive." Divine Envoy Gar waved his silver gauntlet, coldly issuing the order to massacre.
"Yes, Captain Gar!"
The three junior divine envoys wore cruel, fanatically mocking smirks on their lips. The holy gravity halberds in their hands drew a half-moon in mid-air and simultaneously slashed downwards!
Swish—!
Three golden arcs of gravity, several hundred meters long, descended like golden giant scythes from heaven, sweeping across the two outermost defensive outposts of the camp with destructive high-dimensional pressure and absolute polarization!
"No—!"
"Run! The gravity wave is cutting through!"
In the outposts, several young mortal warriors tried to raise their modified overloaded electromagnetic rifles to counterattack. But before the violent golden arcs, their gun barrels, along with their covers, were cleanly severed in an instant!
Accompanied by screams of utmost terror, the corrugated tin shacks, explosion-proof armor plates, and newly welded heavy hydrogen sandwiches on the perimeter were cleanly sliced in half like tofu before the golden light arcs! Dozens of mortals hiding in the outposts for defense didn't even have time to make any effective evasion before their bodies were severed by the high-dimensional gravity arcs, subsequently crushed into a sky-filling spray of blood and flesh by the massive gravitational aftershocks!
Blood mist rose under the illumination of the pale golden light, dyeing the freezing wasteland mud a tragic scarlet.
The lofty divine envoys didn't even spare a second glance at the flying blood and viscera. To them, this was merely a routine sanitary cleansing job, like casually burning a nest of pests in the corner with a blowtorch.
"Fall back! Everyone fall back to the inner explosion-proof bunkers!"
Veteran Caleb's roar boomed from the inner defense line! Fighting against the surging gravity, his mechanical iron arm violently grabbed two terrified young mortals, pressing them firmly behind the heavy lead plates of the explosion-proof bunker! Several veteran medics braved the electromagnetic sparks and stray bullets, desperately dragging two wounded warriors with broken legs back behind cover.
Watching the divine envoys thoroughly level the outer defense line with a single strike, leaving dozens of their brothers dead before their eyes, the mortals who had just built up a shred of confidence once again fell into extreme panic and despair. The physical chasm in power was simply too vast! The gods didn't even need to deploy an army; just the casual sweep of gravity halberds from four divine envoys was enough to hack the mortals' cover and flesh to pieces!
"Everyone hold steady for me! Follow the first drill route, retreat and draw the enemy in!"
Caleb's mechanical iron arm pressed firmly onto the mount of a heavy overloaded electromagnetic cannon. His military electronic prosthetic eye violently drew a bloodshot red line as he loudly berated the panicking, retreating mortals:
"The Mortal Vanguard has no cowards who run away! This isn't a rout; it's a tactical retreat! Draw them into the designated concave plaza! Push the [Prototype Shells] onto the high platforms! Disengage all the safeties on the electromagnetic overload rifles! Let them taste the ferocity of mortal dead ashes!"
On the highest ground in the center of the camp.
Elias stood amidst the howling wind and sky-filling blood mist, letting the intense gravitational aftershocks whip his tactical cloak into a loud, ear-piercing flutter. The boy's legs gripped the ground of the high platform firmly. Even though gravity had increased hundreds of times, his spine remained like an unyielding iron spear thrusting towards the sky. Watching his mortal brothers fall on the outer defense line, the boy's hands tightly gripped his heavy cutting knife. The flames of hatred in his eyes nearly ignited the void, but he forcefully suppressed the urge to charge down into melee combat.
The girl Lyra followed closely behind him, her two slender hands firmly hugging that heavy black pulse fuse trigger. The girl had bitten a bright red bloody scratch into her lips, her forehead covered in dense cold sweat. Though her delicate body trembled violently from the extreme divine pressure, there was not a hint of retreating cowardice in her bright, dark eyes. Her eyes moved rapidly between the mercury lenses and the surfaces of the descending divine envoys in the distance, recording the physical parameters of the enemy.
"Fuse polarization has been calibrated... The black pulse frequency can resonate with Divine Envoy Gar's gravity shield at any moment!" Lyra said, lowering her voice, her tone urgent and precise, every word carrying a tremor of extreme tension. "As long as they step within three meters of the pocket formation, we can detonate instantly!"
And in a shadowy corner just a few steps away, "Vespera" stood quietly by a collapsed scrap iron wall panel, her thin dress swirling in the wind.
The high-and-mighty God of Darkness, Umbra, coldly watched the four swaggering divine envoys of Aries in the sky. In her high-dimensional divine consciousness, the high-dimensional gravitational net on Advanced Divine Envoy Gar was nothing but an extremely crude, low-level application. But in the eyes of the low-dimensional mortals in the lower realm, it was an insurmountable chasm.
"The hounds of Aries... arrived faster than expected." Umbra scoffed coldly in her heart.
She turned her head, her gaze falling upon the cold-faced mortal boy standing in front of her, resting one hand on the hilt of his cutting knife.
Elias slowly drew the heavy industrial cutting knife with its serrated edge from his waist.
Facing the four high-dimensional divine envoys descending through the void, facing the terrifying divine might that blotted out the sky and pressed ordinary mortals into coughing blood and collapsing, the killing intent burning in the boy's eyes was more blinding than the golden light descending from the zenith!
"Draw them down." Elias's voice was low, his tone as calm as if stating an established fact, but beneath that calm voice, a destructive killing intent like a volcano about to erupt was suppressed. "Since they believe mortals are just ants fit only to grovel in the mud... then we will use mortal scrap iron to smash these high-and-mighty hounds thoroughly into the muck!"
The girl Lyra nodded heavily, her small hands firmly locking onto the safety valve of the black pulse trigger.
The storm howled, and the holy murderous intent had already closed in! The four arrogant, insolent divine envoys slowly descended the gravitational stairs. Down below, in this forgotten ruin blind spot of the lower realm, the blood-soaked spark of a mortal-god head-on collision instantly pierced the long night at this moment! The first god-slaying clash to shake the star domain drew open its tragically brutal curtain of life and death in the mud of the wasteland!
